Rolex MOCR: Solid Day 3 Finishes

Greetings Race Fans,

Yesterday's racing went very well for us and we moved up to fourth in the standings, four points ahead of the next US boat (Clark/Mergenthaler). We raced in very shifty northerly wind, with about 15 knots in our first race but dropping off to 10 knots by the end of the day. Our speed upwind wasn't spectacular all day, but we were able to keep up with the top of the fleet by playing the wind shifts. Downwind we continued to have great speed and were able to make big gains. We ended up with finishes of 5-4-1 for the day and are very pleased with the results.

Today we have three more races scheduled. The forecast is for 10-15 knots from the N-NE again, so it should be shifty and challenging.

You can find results online at http://www.ussailing.org/olympics/rolexmiamiocr/results/470_06.asp.

Thanks for all of your support!
Erin and Alice
