Isabelle Kinsolving, 2004 Olympian, Joins 470 Team USA

Dear Friends and Family,

Most of you know one of us, and some of you know both of us. We are writing to announce that we—Erin Maxwell and Isabelle Kinsolving—have teamed up to form 470 Team USA and pursue our dreams of an Olympic Gold sailing the Women's 470 at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Over the next two years we will focus our energy and drive towards that result.

For those of you who know Erin and are used to getting email updates from "470 Team USA," there has been a recent change, Alice Manard will no longer competing and Isabelle Kinsolving has taken her place on the team. Alice made the difficult decision to pursue other personal and professional goals. Isabelle will now be leading the charge in the front of the boat. So, please be patient as we catch all of Isabelle's fans up on the previous news!

For a quick (re)introduction: Erin grew up in Stonington, CT, where she sailed Blue Jays and 420's for Ram Island YC, the Wadawanuck Club, and the Mystic River Mudheads. At Dartmouth College she excelled in college
sailing, becoming a four-time Women's All-American as well as a Co-ed All American in 2001, her senior year. In 2003, Erin campaigned full-time for the 2004 Olympics, finishing 3rd at the US Olympic Team Trials. Her desire for Olympic Gold only strengthened, Erin has been actively training for the 2008 Olympics while working as an investment banker at RBS Greenwich Capital in Greenwich, CT

A native New Yorker and a member of the New York YC, Isabelle grew up sailing right across from Erin at Fishers Island Yacht Club. Isabelle and Erin competed against each other in both junior and college sailing, where Isabelle led the women's team at Yale University. After graduating in 2002, Isabelle sailed 470's full time, excelling with former teammate Katie McDowell. Together, the pair won the US Olympic Team Trials, ultimately
placing 5th at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Since the Olympics, Isabelle has been active in the 470 class while working as a paralegal at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

Earlier this summer, Isabelle and Erin joined forces, combining their talent, experience and resources to form one team— 470 Team USA! They will be competing in the 2006 470 World Championships in Rizhao, China, September 7-13. The regatta website is: http://470.rz.gov.cn/. After the worlds, they will focus on the 470 Pre-Trials in October in Long Beach, CA.

Please join our team and be a part of our quest for Olympic Gold in 2008. For more information on our campaign, please visit our website: www.470TeamUSA.com. Erin and Isabelle
