Dear Friends,
We wanted to wish you happy holidays as the new year begins!
The last e-mail from us was at the World Championships in September in Copenhagen, Denmark. We ended that regatta with a strong 10th place, the top American team by far.
As the 2012 Olympic approach, only 20 months away, we have been increasing the number of days in the 470. We are in Miami training this weekend, and have a busy regatta schedule ahead of us this winter and spring:
January 16-18: 470 North Americans, Miami, FL
January 25-29: US Sailing’s Rolex Miami Olympic Classes Regatta
March 29 – April 2: Princess Sofia Regatta, Palma de Mallorca, Spain
As our training increases, the support we receive from the US Sailing Team Alpha-Graphics is no longer sufficient to cover our Olympic Campaign costs. We know that we are capable of winning a Gold Medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics, but we need your help!
