Princess Sofia Regatta Day 3 — No Racing

After all the anticipation, we did not have any races today. It was windy this morning…

And then only got windier and wavier…

We were postponed on shore until about 3:30 pm, at which point they cancelled us for the day. While the wind was manageable, the waves were so large that a beach launch with about 150 470’s (men and women) trying to get through breaking waves would have been treacherous.
The forecast for tomorrow is for a northwest wind to shift to a southwest wind. Hopefully we will be able to get three races in, the maximum we can have in a day. Stay tuned!
